However, in this case, it’s not really a love triangle at all. Usually, I am not a fan of stories that involve a love triangle between siblings, or even love triangles in general. I especially loved how they first met, because it reminded me so much of my own grandparents. Which, I have to admit, I’m a sucker for. In addition, you have their wonderful love story. One of my favourite things as a reader is when an author manages to do that. Her description is so vivid that you can’t help but feel like you’re there. Simons made me feel like I was living through the siege of Leningrad along with Alexander and Tatiana. It had everything I look for, historical detail, interesting plot, and characters that you can’t help but care about. ![]() From the first word to the last word I was hooked.
